Merdeka Cheer Project

Last Saturday , we did our annual Merdaka Cheer Project . On behalf of the Independent Day Celebration , we visi the Miri Methodost Children's Home and bought them some lunch . Our organising chairperson , Leo Brandon Tan has prepared Kenny Roger's Roaster Quarter Chicken set for them. We also brought along cordial drinks , snacks , fruits and ice cream . The food and drinks were fully sponsored by our school faculty advisor , past president of Lions Club of Miri Host Madam Yeoh's Husband , Dr Teo. We really appreciate it . Futhermore , our club had also donated RM 500 to the Miri Methodist Children's Home . Although the cash we donate is not much , but we hope to do as much as we can to help them.

The Miri Methodist Children's Home was established ten years ago and has a total number of 21 children now . They not only provide food and shelters to the children , but they still provide education to them . The person in-charged , Miss ViVian Loh hope that the children can be independent after they leave the Methodist Children's Home . The children there were came from different races and ages . All of them lived and take care among each others. They followed their daily timetable everday.

Our Leos were so happy to visit them and in the same time we realized that we are so lucky to have parents who love and care us . We should learn to appreciate what our parents do for us and love them as much as we could . Not only like this , we should also spend more time and do as much as we could  to help others who are not so lucky . Although we are just a student , but we can also help them in our own way.

Last but not least , we hope that the children in Miri Methodist Children's Home can live happily ever after. 

* If you are a adult and hope to do some charity work , feel free to pay a visit to the Miri Methodist Children's Home ? They need some volunteers now , but be sure you will stay with the children as long as possible , don't leave them half way.  Thank you !!!!
