Yesterday , 6th of September 2014 was a big day to all the Lions & Leo in Zone 9 . Why ?? Because we were having our New Member Induction & New BOD Installation. After this ceremony the fiscal year 2013-2014 were finally ended and the fiscal year 2014-2015 were officially started!
This ceremony was organised by Lion Albert Ong from Lions Club of Miri Mandarin. The Presiding officer was President Chong Nyuk Lain from Lions Club of Miri Mandarin. Our Guest of honor was the DG of the district 308-A2 DG Dato Betty Wong . Many District's Fellow & Lions attend this ceremony. Our beloved MD 308 Advisor , MD308 LCIF Coordinator PID Hajah Ellis Suriyati Haji Omar , Past Council Chairperson PCC Cheng Yik Siong , Immediate Past District Governor Kung Kuok Yiew , 1st Vice District Governor Lawrence Ting , 2nd Vice District Governor Eve Wong , Honarary Chairperson PDG Dr. Tan Tsu Kun , DC International Relations & LCIF PDG Mary Law , Cabinet Secretary Jamie Tiew Yen Huong and many other Lions all around the world attended this ceremony and made this ceremony one of the best event in my life of being a Leo.
The New Member Induction Session wan conducted by our beloved DC Leo Kapitan Connie Loh while the New BOD Installation was conducted by 2nd VDG Lion Eve Wong . Although these ceremony were simple , but they were so important to all the Leo Member because after this we are officially a Leo Club Member which recognized worldwide.
All of us felt so touched when our DG Lion Dato Betty Wong sit down on the floor with Leos to take photo . As everyone knew that , DG's knee were injured last time and weren't too well . I bet it was a hard time for her to sit down and stand up during that moment. Her behavior really touched us .
The moment when she shared with us the meaning of being a good Lion & Leo really touched us . She is really a super duper extremely good Lion & of course the most friendly DG I had met in my life as a LEO!!!! We are so proud of you !! You are the role model for all of us . All your Lion's Spirit and positive thinking has motivated us to become a better Leo , and also become a better PERSON to serve the society.
Lastly , let us don't forget the DG theme this year SERVE WITH LOVE & PRIDE . Leos let us work together to make our society , world a better place .
We must feel proud to be a Leo , especially Leo of District 308-A2!!ROAR ROAR ROAR!!!
