Taiwan Youth Exchange Student in the School

On the 18th of August , two special guest all the way from Taiwan visited our school . They were Leos from the Youth Exchange Program . Our school students gave them a warmest welcome. They joined us in assembly , our CEO introduced them to all the students from our school . Everybody seems excited to see them.

They two students from Taiwan were , Wu Po-Yi and Huang Yi-Chung . Both of them are from District 300-G1 Lions Club of International . These two young man are 18 years old this year and currently studying in college and university.

The President of our sponsoring club . Lions Club of Miri Mandarin Lion Chong Nyuk Lain wan the hosting family. President Chong was once again the hosting family after the Japan YE came. She is an extremely excellent hosting parents , because she made the YE felt at home.

The YE arrived our school around 7:30 and our vice principals greeted them with her warmest smile. Then our Leo Club organised a tour for them . We walked around the school and introduced them our school significant building such as the mushroom shed , Leo garden and so on. They enjoyed the tour so much . We believed that we brought them a lot of joy and happiness.

Then , we have a simple volleyball match with them . They felt so happy because they felt like they were back to the secondary school time and became younger . It sounds great!!! After a tiring match , we brought them to the canteen for some refreshment . We prepared some local sandwiches , fried mee hoon cangkuk manis and sambal fried rice for them . They loved the food so much. After the food , we did some cultural sharing . Although we were all Chinese which originated from China , but we have slightly different on language and education system . They speak pure and traditional language , while our chinese sounds a bit different , because there are usually three to four language in one sentence.

Soon , it was time to say goodbye , they went home happily and we felt so happy to met such a friendly friend all the way from Taiwan. And we really had a great time with them .

Yours in Leo Spirit
